On Saturday, May 3, the Orlando community will unite as one mighty force for lung health. Hundreds of participants will join the American Lung Association in Florida, lacing up their sneakers to participate in the 11th annual LUNG FORCE Run/Walk, presented by AdventHealth. The family-friendly event, known for its celebratory and welcoming atmosphere, will take place at scenic Baldwin Park.

On Friday, May 30, the American Lung Association in Florida will host its 20th annual LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale. This year’s event, however, has a major twist—or rather, a twist chasse. That’s because five dedicated members of the community have signed on to raise awareness and funds in a unique event that will have them competing on the dance floor.

This morning, nearly 1,000 community members from across Tampa Bay, including around 150 firefighters and first responders, took part in the American Lung Association’s 20th annual Fight For Air Climb Tampa. The event raised more than $200,000, and counting, to support the Lung Association’s lifesaving research, programming and advocacy for the more than 3.2 million people in Florida living with lung disease.

The American Lung Association is excited to announce an opportunity for runners to join the American Lung Association’s Powered by Lungs Race Team for TCS Sydney Marathon in Sydney, Australia on Sunday, August 31.

In celebration of a decade of powerful advocacy and progress, LUNG FORCE Heroes—individuals personally impacted by lung cancer—will once again travel from across the country to Washington, D.C., for the American Lung Association’s 2025 LUNG FORCE Advocacy Day on April 9.

Bring your appetite! The food and drink lineup for the 29th annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival is officially out. On Friday, April 25, guests will stroll along the four-block-takeover of Las Olas Boulevard, sampling culinary delights from nearly 50 of South Florida’s best restaurants and more than 200 sips from around the globe. Even better? Proceeds support the American Lung Association’s mission, funding research into new treatments and cures, programs and services that save lives.
