Fighting For Air: Orlando Community Raises Nearly $100K for Lung Health

Nearly 300 people participated in American Lung Association’s 18th annual Fight For Air Climb at City National Bank Tower

This morning, during the American Lung Association’s 18th annual Fight For Air Climb Orlando, nearly 300 community members and lung health advocates from across Central Florida climbed 25 floors to the top of City National Bank Tower. The event raised nearly $100,000 to support the Lung Association’s lifesaving research, programming and advocacy for the more than 3.2 million people in Florida living with lung disease. Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James served as presenting sponsor of the event.

“We are grateful to everyone who came out today to support loved ones, friends and neighbors who are impacted by lung disease and fight for every breath,” said Amy Carlson, Fight For Air Climb Orlando event chair and senior vice president, City National Bank. “Thank you to our participants, firefighters and first responders, volunteers and sponsors who came out today to raise nearly $100,000 to save lives—with more funds still coming in. Every step we’ve taken today will help us get closer to a future free of lung cancer and lung disease.”

Funds raised from the Fight For Air Climb support the mission of the Lung Association and its efforts to defeat lung cancer, champion clean air, improve the quality of life for those with lung disease and their families and create a tobacco-free future.
