To fund lifesaving research, prevent lung disease and save lives, the American Lung Association in Florida is hosting the Fight For Air Climb Orlando at City National Bank Tower on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The Fight For Air Climb, presented by Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James, is the only competitive stair-climb event in Orlando.
“For nearly two decades, the Central Florida community has stepped up to help raise awareness and funds for family, friends and neighbors who are living with lung disease,” said Amy Carlson, Fight For Air Climb Orlando event chair and senior vice president, City National Bank. “We invite everyone to join us for this inspiring and impactful day. Together, we can achieve a future free of lung disease and lung cancer.”
This year marks the 18th anniversary of the Fight For Air Climb Orlando. The climb is designed for every type of participant, from beginners to competitive climbers to first responders in gear. Participants determine their pace. With 25 floors and 512 steps, City National Bank Tower is the perfect setting for a day of fun, challenge and camaraderie.
“I have made lung health my mission. My father fought for every breath and passed away from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),” said Eddie Fisher, first vice president, investments at Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James. “We are proud to partner with the Lung Association to as a tribute to his memory and to support the more than 3.2 million Floridians who live with lung disease.”
Fisher also serves as chair of the Lung Association’s Southeast Regional and Central Florida Boards and member of the Investment Sub-Committee of the National Board of Directors.
Joining the Fight For Air Climb Orlando supports the work of the Lung Association to end lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families and create a tobacco-free future. In addition to supporting lung health, stair climbing has significant health benefits. It improves balance and coordination and strengthens major muscles. Daily stair climbing may help lower mortality risk.
