Experts to Announce Lung Cancer Advancements

Lung cancer survival rates are rising, according to the American Lung Association’s 2023 State of Lung Cancer Report released last week. How are more lives being saved? 

The answer to this questions and more will be shared on Wednesday, November 29 on the American Lung Association’s “Community Connections: New Advances in Lung Cancer” webinar. The free webinar, from 5:30 – 7PM, will feature leading physicians and experts that will announce the latest advancements in lung cancer screening and lung nodule management, immunotherapy treatment and minimally invasive surgery. 

The webinar is intended for media, lung health professionals, community members, caregivers, primary care, nurse navigators and respiratory therapists. The webinar will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

• Dr. Maria Madariaga, Assistant Professor and UChicago Medicine
• Dr. Nisha Mohindra, Associate Professor at Northwestern Medicine
• Dr. Niraj Desai, Associate Professor of Medicine & System Medical Director at Ascension Illinois
