Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits—the preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol—leads charge with sponsorship of Fort Lauderdale’s premier charitable wine and food experience on April 19FORT LAUDERDALE, FL | April 8, 2024
Today, the American Lung Association in Florida is recognizing several organizations that are investing in lung health through key partnerships in the 28th annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival. The wine and food festival, which is Fort Lauderdale’s largest, will take place on Las Olas Boulevard on Friday, April 19. By sponsoring the festival, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) and Fort Lauderdale businesses are furthering the Lung Association’s lifesaving mission here in Florida and beyond. As always, guests will sample dishes from more than 40 of South Florida’s finest restaurants and tastings from more than 200 domestic and international wineries and spirit brands and breweries—all while supporting an important cause.
“We are grateful to Southern Glazer’s and the local businesses who come together year after year to support the Lung Association’s lifesaving work. Their support, as well as proceeds from ticket sales, fuel our research, community-based support programs for the 2.7 million Floridians living with lung disease and much-needed advocacy efforts to ensure clean air for all,” said Hernan Millan, VP Senior Market Manager Domestic Retail Banking at Amerant Bank and Chair-Elect of the American Lung Association’s South Florida Local Leadership Board.
Southern Glazer’s returns for its second year as the exclusive wine and spirits provider for the festival. It is pleased to share a sneak peak of a few brands that will be featured on the boulevard this year including:
- Casamigos Tequila – CASAMIGOS IS ABOUT TO GET HOTTER. Even though we love Casamigos on the rocks, by the shot and at times, straight from the bottle, Rande’s wife Cindy likes to spice things up. Come try our new CasamigAs Jalapeño Tequila and kick things up a notch!
- High West Whiskey – While enjoying an old fashioned and live music, guests will be transported to Park City, Utah, hometown of High West Distillery.
- Tito’s Handmade Vodka – Dreamed up and distilled in Austin, Texas, Tito’s Handmade Vodka is thrilled to join Las Olas Wine & Food Festival to serve up smooth cocktails. Nothing beats raising a glass with thousands of guests excited to pair a tasty sample from some of the best restaurants with a Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail. Cheers!
- Papa’s Pilar Rum – Please visit the Papa’s Pilar Rum booth to enjoy cocktails that would make Ernest Hemingway proud. We will be toasting to Papa alongside Paul Castronovo throughout the evening.
“Southern Glazer’s is proud to partner with the American Lung Association on the Las Olas Wine and Food Festival, which has been a Fort Lauderdale institution for nearly thirty years,” said Patrick Cassidy, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Florida. “The festival brings our community together, features the best of Broward’s restaurant scene and gives us an opportunity to showcase more than 200 wines and spirits from our world-class portfolio—all while raising money for lifesaving lung health research and educational programming. It’s a fantastic event where we can give back and make a difference.”
