On Monday, the Department of Health and Human Services published a document in the Federal Register announcing rescission to a long-standing policy that required HHS to conduct public notice and comment procedures on a wide range of agency action. Patient groups representing millions of people with serious health conditions issue the following statement:

Today, the American Lung Association released a new report, “Something in the Air: Nitrogen Dioxide and Community Health,” which examines the use of satellite data to evaluate the health impact of nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). NO₂ is a widespread but under-monitored and under-regulated air pollutant.
