I recently moved out of Manhattan to Warwick, N.Y. in Orange County. One of the reasons I moved is that I wanted to spend less time in the city was because my chest was getting bad. I like to cycle and in the summer my breathing was impaired. Two years after moving into the country, I’m horrified to realize that the air quality in Warwick is always nearly worse than in Manhattan! I don’t know how that’s possible being up in the mountains—but that’s what all the reports say. Now I’m worried about participating in outdoor activities. We must do more to protect clean air—it’s a human right, surely. Please help our air in Warwick.
