Maternal Vaccination and Risk of Hospitalization for COVID-19 among Infants – New England Journal of Medicine

This study showed that maternal vaccination for COVID-19 was associated with reduced risk of COVID-19 hospitalization of infants younger than 6 months of age. This is important as infants are at high risk for COVID-19 complications and are not eligible for vaccination, which is a call to action for pregnant people to get vaccinated. Co-Author Dr. Bria Coates is funded by the American Lung Association COVID-19 Respiratory Virus Research Award.
