This study found that people who both vaped and smoked had a much higher risk of lung cancer than those who only smoked cigarettes. This is important for lung health because it shows that vaping, especially combined with smoking, greatly increases the risk of developing lung cancer. First Author Marisa Bittoni, PhD, received a Lung Cancer Discovery Award for her work in using exercise to reduce cancer risk.
