Clinical Practices Surrounding the Prescription of Home Oxygen in Patients with COPD and Desaturation

This study surveyed clinicians about how they make decisions to prescribe home oxygen in patients with COPD, and while most described a shared decision-making process with their patients, most did not use a structured tool to conduct these conversations. This is important because it will help to develop structured tools to support shared decision-making on home oxygen use. This study was performed by the Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Centers.
