Small airways may lead to big problems: abnormally small airways could be linked to adverse outcomes in COPD

This study used CT imaging and spirometry to determine that abnormally small airways are related to an increased risk of adverse outcomes in patients with COPD. This is important because it can improve early detection and treatment for patients at greatest risk, even those who have not been diagnosed with chronic obstruction. Drs.
