Study calls for improving knowledge access and acquisition for patients with interstitial lung disease

This literature review summarizes the current knowledge of patient education combined with exercise regimens in pulmonary rehabilitation programs for adults with interstitial lung disease. This is important because they found that the benefits of the educational component alone are unclear because few studies look at how to improve knowledge access and acquisition. Senior author Kerri Aronson, MD, was funded by a Lung Association Catalyst Award for early career researchers.
