Mention of “chronic disease” in this assessment refers to chronic lung diseases (i.e., asthma).

References to “tobacco” throughout this assessment include all commercial tobacco products, which are any products containing, made of, or derived from tobacco or nicotine that are intended for human consumption. These include combustible and smokeless tobacco as well as electronic smoking devices.
