The American Lung Association is proud to welcome Donna Peace as Executive Director for Colorado. This crucial leadership role engages directly with the community and state agencies to guide lung-friendly policies and raise funds to further our mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
“We are elated to welcome Donna to this important position serving the entire state of Colorado,” said Tammy Rocker, Lung Association Division Vice President. “Donna’s passion for the region along with her education and experience will strengthen our work throughout the state, and her hiring marks an important moment for the Lung Association in Colorado.”
Peace has been working in fundraising and development since 2011. Prior to being named Executive Director, she served as the Development Director for the Lung Association in Colorado. She has served in various leadership roles within the nonprofit industry including the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence and Unity Care.
Peace has a strong background and proven results in donor stewardship, fundraising, annual fund development and strategic planning. In her new position, she will focus on bringing Colorado communities together around the organization’s core mission – working seamlessly on community building events and engagement. Working in concert with the Lung Association’s award-winning programs and advocacy efforts, Peace will lead on issues concerning public health, youth smoking and e-cigarette use as well as improving air quality, while raising much-needed funds to support all those with lung disease or at risk of lung disease.
