Shannon D., OH

In July of 2023, my mom was diagnosed with Advanced Small Cell Lung Cancer. Since then, she has endured multiple radiation treatments, chemo and immunotherapy. We are so fortunate that her treatments are working and her scans have shown that the cancer has shrunk and remains so thanks to all the hard working and caring healthcare professionals at her cancer treatment center. My mom is and always has been a fighter as she is also a breast cancer survivor.

Since her diagnosis, I have been searching for ways to make a difference and to support those who are going through similar situations as my family and I. As of this past weekend, I participated in my first Lung Force Walk as a part of Team Connie for my mom. My hope is to participate in more events in future and to raise awareness about lung cancer and lung health.
