On May 14, 2020, I learned I had lung cancer stage 3b. I'm  64 years old, a school nurse and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. How do I let my family know that because I am preparing to fight, that I know the time can be very short. But I haven't lost hope, instead I am aware of my surroundings. I now have a bedrail on my bed, bed liners and diapers in the closet and a wig. I'm preparing my DNR, Medical Power of Attorney and my iving Will tonight. I have a port that was surgically placed in my right shoulder. Next week is radiation. Next Friday is the PET scan. This is lung cancer on the good days.
