Multiple studies have linked air pollution to autism. Air pollution has also been shown to reduce a years worth of a child’s education. Improving air quality is a simple preventable measure that will save money in additional special education services, medical bills, etc. and improve the quality of life for many. It is important to be proactive not responsive. Small steps taken now can save the government billions as air pollution is linked to many chronic conditions that drain the system.
