Hannah R

Hannah R., MI

Hello, my name is Hannah and on August 16th 2021, I lost my mother, Diane Michele Reister, to lung cancer. Even though my mom had cancer, I never felt like that was the disease she had. Cancer is something that people fight. My mom is someone who would fight for the things that she believed in, she was very passionate. Fighting to spend more time with her family was one of those things. My mom wasn't officially diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the lung until August 6th and she wasn't even given two weeks time after the diagnosis. My mom was never even given the opportunity to fight off this disease.

My mom was 63 years young when she passed. She left behind myself and my sister, Rachael (Austin). My mom had just moved into a new home not even 90 days before her passing. She was still very active in her work life and traveled all throughout Michigan, northern Ohio, and northern Indiana as a sales representative in the auto glass industry. My mom was a new Nana and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Colette.
