Claudia G., GA

I was diagnosed on February 19, 2020, with a malignant neoplasm in my lower right lung. It was pretty sick as LC doesn’t run in my family, nor am I a smoker. You could imagine the horror. I was scheduled for a robotic-assisted lobectomy on March 19, when my surgery was canceled two days before due to COVID-19. I had to wait for four and a half months to get my surgery. By that point, I needed chemo and 12 weeks of daily radiation. I have never been so scared. I had to lean on my faith and my family. I am thankful to say that almost three years after my surgery, my scans have been clean.
