On June 28, 2020 after a routine CT with contrast I was notified that I had Stage III lung cancer. My world came crashing down once again.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer and had been in remission after treatment. Getting another cancer diagnosis seemed so unfair! How can I fight this time? It took so much out of me before.

I began treatment in July 2020. It was bad enough to have cancer-- now add COVID-19 into the mix!

My original treatment plan ended in December 2020. Things looked great! I was feeling good then bam! Symptoms returned: shortness of breath and pneumonia.

Tried immunotherapy two rounds and had toxic reactions. I had fluid in my lungs, had a cough, and shortness of breath. I’m going to start on chemo and pray that it maintains and contains my tumors.

I have turned to my faith, family, and friends to walk my cancer journey with me.
