Anna C.

In December of 2011 my husband Dennis of 33 years went to the doctor with a persistent cough and pain in his shoulders. After several rounds of antibiotics to treat suspected pneumonia, his cough and pain persisted. In January, he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

Dennis died in February at the age of 66. He had just retired and was looking forward to a life without daily work. I miss him greatly and would have loved to have more time with him. His passing was so sudden and the amount of pain and discomfort at the end was unbearable.

I would like to see a way of early diagnosis for lung cancer so that victims could have better treatment options and a better prognosis.
