In her 16 years with the American Lung Association, Swan has supported the mission of the American Lung Association by substantially increasing corporate engagement through sponsorships, grants and cause marketing, increasing revenue through individual and planned giving, strengthening special event participation and leadership volunteer infrastructure. In her role as National Chief Development Officer, Swan works with the nation's fundraising team to continue to assess and expand the development efforts throughout the country including setting strategic initiatives designed to increase revenue from all revenue streams with special emphasis on corporations, foundations and individual donor development.

Prior to joining the American Lung Association in 1999 Swan gained fundraising experience at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles County Natural History Museum and the University of Southern California. Swan earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
